Trump: Kurdish Organization “Worse than ISIS”

At a press conference today with the president of Italy, President Trump declared that the PKK is “probably worse than ISIS.”

The PKK, which stands for Kurdistan Workers' Party, is a political and militant Kurdish organization in Turkey and Iraq. Their official goal has been equality and autonomy for Kurds.

There has been no evidence that those who have been killed in Turkey’s offensive in Syria have been members of the PKK.

During the conference with Sergio Mattarella, Mr. Trump repeated the lines of the Turkish government, accusing the Kurds of “not being angels.”

"The PKK,” Trump stated, “which is a part of the Kurds... is probably worse at terror, more of a terrorist threat in many ways, than ISIS."

Later in the conference, Trump continued, “ISIS respects PKK.”

During his answer, he also stated that the US captured members of ISIS, “not the Kurds.”  He then called on Russia to take control of the region.

“I’m not going to lose tens of thousands of soldiers,” Mr. Trump continued, fighting a war between “Turkey and Syria.”

Update: The White House has released a letter written by President Trump to President Ergodan telling him “Not to be a fool!” and to “make a good deal” with the United States.

  1. Trump himself might literally be worse than ISIS.

  2. How many advisors do you think tell Trump to cease these shenanigans?

  3. I am ashamed and embarrassed by the United States Senate and the executive branch of our government. Future historians will write many poor things about these 4 years. Trump is the definition of a moron.

    1. It's good to know that there are American's who see trump for what he is. Sitting in another country, we don't hear anything about what the people really think and the fact that he wasn't tossed out when he first started lying as soon as he took office. Made me assume unkindly that most of the people don't care in America. Trump is humiliating your country's dignity and history

    2. We can't just toss him out. It just isn't that easy. The elections are only 1 year away.

  4. Sadly it'll very likely be the 8 years that historians are writing about...

    1. No way. There were many voters especially in the Rust Belt that despised Hillary and voted for Traitor Trump as the lesser of two evils. Hillary took that region for granted, barely campaigned there which played right into Trump's tiny little hands. His ceiling is 40% and the Dem nominee is almost certainly going to eclipse that number. I realize there are other factors like Russia hacking voting machines that could go in Trump's favor but on a level field Trump loses. With a new scandal coming to light almost daily there is no chance of him gaining widespread support.

    1. You can't be serious. The only country that thinks of the PKK as a terrorist organization is (surprise) Turkey.
The USA has been allies with the PKK up until this moment, where Donald Trump abandoned them despite every one of his advisors telling him just what a catastrophe it would be for the region.
      Don't gaslight this.

    2. Actually, he's right. You're confusing the PKK with the YPG. The YPG are the Kurds in Syria (our previous allies), the PKK are the Kurds in Turkey, and most of the world has labeled them as a terrorist organization.

    3. As ineloquent and exaggerated as this guy is, PKK is absolutely a terrorist organization. Nevertheless, taking the stuff they do as a representation of all of Kurdistan's morals and national ethics is completely irresponsible. It would be akin to labeling all American conservatives terrorists on behalf of the actions of the Klu Klux Klan. Rojava (AKA Kurdish controlled Syria) is nothing like them. Among all the stuff going on right now in Syria, they have a constitution that acknowledges and guarantees the rights of women and ethnic and religious minorities, and is founded on libertarian/liberal (in the classical sense) principles. Go onto Liveleak right now and look at some footage from Northern Syria 2015-2016, and you'll see Peshmerga troops tending to wounded ISIS and giving dying enemies water. The only reason they have prisoners that are escaping in all this nonsense is because they took prisoners to begin with. Meanwhile, I have seen professional Iraqi troops tossing unarmed prisoners into pits and filling them with lead, and Syrian military dropping 4000 lb bombs on apartments with civilians inside. Above any of our allies in the middle east, the Kurds deserved a backstab like this the least.
