The President's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani announced today on Twitter that he will not be complying with a subpoena from the House of Representatives.

According to the letter, which was sent to Congresspeople Schiff, Engel, and Cummings, their requests are "unconstitutional, baseless, and illegitimate."

Further, Giuliani's lawyer Jon Sale argued that the subpoena is "overbroad, unduly burdensome, and seeks documents beyond the scope of legitimate inquiry."

There seems to be no legal basis behind these arguments, or at least none were cited in the letter.

In his post announcing that he would not comply with the subpoena, Giuliani further called the impeachment of President Trump "unconstitutional," despite the Constitution specifically stating that Presidents can be impeached by the House.
